It's a GIRL!!

So at our ultrasound yesterday we got to see our baby. And as we were discussing about not really knowing for sure about boy names we found out it doesn't matter because we are having a girl! Anthony was texting our family right away as soon as he found out and we are both so excited. So tonight we are going to look at baby girl things. Also miss Emily is very healthy and had her feet in front of her face the whole time!

Also my mom and dad are very excited to have a girl around and Anthony reminded mom she can no longer call the baby Susie Q!

I will post photos soon!

Lots of Changes!!

Well it has been a crazy month! We have moved to Joplin and are settling in! Also we went on our Babymoon to Europe and had a great time. Although, the days were long and I was tired . I also spent a lot of time eating PBJ's as that is the only thing that sounded good. (silly pregnant cravings!) But other than that our trip was wonderful. It was nice to have the time together.

Before the trip we had our house packed, we spend a weekend in Branson with my parents and then unpacked into our new house. Also when we got to Joplin we spent time driving around looking at the tornado damage. It is indescribable. The community is great though. Anthony really likes working at Freeman, although he has been Crazy Busy! Also I got a cold and my sister came to visit.

Last Thursday I had my doctors appointment and everything looks great. Just 6 more weeks and we get to find out if we are having a baby girl or boy. We can't wait to find out!! Also the doctor and nurse were both very very nice. They were also very welcoming to Anthony as they the doctor had met him at a staff meeting a few days before. After the appointment I got my Joplin Public Library card and then picked up a few copies of the Joplin Globe as Anthony had an ad on the front page. :) Pretty exciting.

Well I think that is all the exciting news at this point. I will post photos from all that has happened!

Joplin, our new community hit by tornado

Well, even after a deadly tornado, we are moving to Joplin. I am sitting here now as the movers pack our stuff, it is surreal to know that we are moving. However, it is wonderful to have people pack our stuff for us. Also we are moving to a place that has a .75 mile wide 6 mile long path destroyed by a tornado. We have talked to several people down there and the stories are amazing. It is also amazing to see how all the people have come together to help one another. And the people not from the area that are donating things left and right to help. It is amazing to see it all happening. Jill who is from Fulton and has lived in Joplin for 2 years has started helping people organize donations in the schools. We will have stories to tell our new child of the year he/she was born. I am also sure we will see the effects for a long time.

Whoa Stomach...

I don't think I am a woman who just LOVES to be pregnant. My stomach is bloated and it hurts, women who love this are crazy! I can't wait to meet our blob and I know this is all part of it, but that doesn't mean it is easy. My cousin gave me great advice about how it is all a phase and it does not last long, I hope this is true about the pregnancy too, just a phase and it will pass. Other than my stomach and being tired things are great. Anthony and I have one more week of work and then we head to Branson while we wait on our moving truck and move in on May 31st. We are very very excited. Then we leave on our second honeymoon and we are both looking forward to that. Well here is to hoping this stomach stuff passes quickly, and I know in the end our baby blob will make it all worth it!

So many exciting changes...

Well things are wrapping up at work and at our Columbia house. We are making list of things the movers will pack and I am cleaning up my desk and space for the new person to start on Monday. Anthony is working his last few days of service and we are getting in as many lunches and dinners with friends and family as we can. Overall we are both very excited for the move and our upcoming vacation. Other than being tired and sick things are great. (although it truly comes and goes!) After dinner Monday night my cousin gave me a great list of things we need and do not need for the baby and a book to barrow with great bargains and consumer review. The book says for the first month we will need 600 diapers. I bet after 600 I will be able to do them one handed with my eyes closed :).

Busy Weekend

Anthony and spent the weekend getting things for the new house. With this buying spree we also bought a new camera which we can shoot video as well as take photos so we can share video clips of the new baby. We also spent time on Saturday will Bill and his family and had a wonderful time. I have been very sleepy, and the woozyness comes and goes. It is nice to have the medicine from the doctor. Sunday we spent at Erica's house to celebrate her baptism and then at Lowe's and the Mall. Our new washer and dryer were delivered and we bought the hoses and cords we needed to install them in our new house. It has been a great weekend, and we are getting even more excited for our movie. Also Happy Birthday to my sister, as her birthday was on Saturday!

Baby Blob is now 2 cm long

Well doctor visit #2 went great. We had another ultra sound, see photo, and baby blob is now 2 cm long. Very exciting. It also looks a little like a teddy graham, big head and stubs for arms. We got to see the heart beat which is 148 beats per min, (normal). We also asked the doctor about my nauseousness and he offered to fill a perscription for me. After the appointment and some medicine and a 2 hour nap I woke up and felt great, it was nice to have an evening at home without feeling woozy! Other than that I did some blood work and other test and the rest of the appointment went good. Now I need to find a doctor in Joplin and set up an appointment. Just 2 weeks until the movers come and pack all of our stuff, and Anthony's Birthday!

New Address, New House, New Job...

Well we found one! A wonderful 6 month old house in North Joplin. We had a great, busy weekend and I was not too too sick. Thursday night we met Jill and Corey for dinner and then spent the day Friday looking at houses, the last one was the winner, we went to the bank and ate Chick-fill-a for lunch. Mom and Dad met us in time for dinner at Chick-fill-a after we had a cupcake at Cupcakes by Liz. They were HUGE!! The next morning we went back to look at the house and took a ton of photos! It was a lot of fun. I can't wait to close and move in.

Yesterday it was back to work and I was pretty sick most of the day. Although, it was Anthony and my 7th month anniversary. Today has been a pretty rough day too, but we go to the doctor tomorrow. :)

New House

Well other than a few times of throwing up, I am doing good. Anthony and I are leaving for Joplin to pick out our new house on Thursday. We are very very excited. :) It will be a long long weekend but in the end it will be worth all the time we have spent looking at houses.

Who knew a blob could make you feel this way... I don't think I have ever felt so sick so long in my whole life. I just want to lay down and take a nap. Yesterday I hardly moved off the couch but to go to Church and to a play. Also I fell like I could be a drug dog with my nose, I can smell out just about anything. It is amazing the things I can smell. Dirty feet, BO, pancakes, and vomit. It is nuts.

Well I know in just a few months it will all be worth all the stomach aches. :)

First Doctor Visit

Today A & I went to the doctor. We first went to the Ultra Sound Suite and had an ultra sound. Before going in, the doctor suspected I was 7-8 weeks pregnant and that my due date would be 12/12/11. (See Post Below) Well after the ultra sound where we saw the baby blob for the first time, it was awesome. It was so small but you could see the heart beat. They determined I am actually only 6 weeks along and that the due date is 12/18/11.

After the ultra sound we went to meet with the doctor. He said everything looks great, but with not being as far along as we first though we will have to come back in two weeks for the actual first Pregnancy visit. This is where they will test my blood and ask more questions about our family medical history. It was great to see the baby and nice to meet the doctor, and now I feel a little less intimidated by the next visit. It should be great.
